Default Vaportek Optimum 4000 - Serious Odor Control

With all the money that growers have spent over the years on odor extraction fans and Can Filters/Carbon Filters, it was time for an alternative in odor control. It has been in just the last few years that growers have looked outside the "hydro store" realm in search of a more reasonable alternative. Vapotek, based in Sussex, WI (USA), has been in the odor nuetralizing business for decades catering to hospitals, restaurants, janitorial applications, pet stores, etc. Their "dry vapor" systems utilize natural oil preparations to NOT MASK but NUETRALIZE odors without affecting flavor or odor of your finished buds. Here's some info about Vaportek from their website:

Since 1979, Vaportek has been manufacturing odor-neutralizing systems that provide safe, effective and convenient alternatives to ozone-generating equipment, foggers and sprays. To enhance the line, we manufacture complimentary passive and liquid odor-neutralizing products.

Our proprietary membrane technology works safely and quickly, using natural oils to neutralize odors and enhance indoor environments. Vaportek dry vapor systems do not use or create ozone, and contain no added alcohol, petroleum distillates, CFCs or harmful ingredients. These systems have been proven especially successful in the restoration/cleaning industry to quickly, safely and effectively remove odors.

Growers and breeders alike have used the Vaportek Optimum 4000 as their ONLY means of odor control and with great results! Here's what Rezdog of Resevoir Seeds (breeders of East Coast Sour Deisel) have to say about the Vaportek 4000.

Quote from Rezdog: "VTek's kick ass,I have several carbon-scrubbers sitting,ROTTING,unused....
No sounds of turbines in my grows, just a nice silent lil' machine, making everything smell
      like a hospital."

Also from Rezdog: "I run STINKEY shit, and 1-2 VTek's kill ALL the odor, and we're talking Sour Diesels and Skunks,no small feat....The VTek's are, essentially,SILENT. You can run them in-room,with no ill effects to the plants,or the buds.

****NOTEON'T USE Ozium and timeMisters,it's FATAL to plants on contact!!!!!!!*****".

      Optimum 4000 Air Treatment System
Compact electric unit treats areas up to 20,000 cu. ft. Uses replaceable 90-day (#90-4090) or 120-day (#90-4120) cartridges, sold separately. 110 volt.

That's right! If you read the description the Vaportek treats up to 20,000 cu. ft. of space! That would be one helluva grow, wouldn't it? But that's just how effective this little unit really is. Most of the time growers report that they only have to set the dail on "2" to get more than adequate odor nuetralization and one cartridge will easily get you through an entire grow before needing to be replaced.

At only $159.00 (US) plus shipping, the cost savings over Can/Carbon Filters will pay for this unit very, very quickly. It's also very nice to be able to buy from a "mainstream" company as opposed to the risk inherant in dealing with hydro stores. The 90 and 120 day refills run approx. $50.00 - 60.00 which isn't bad at all considering it will last for an entire average grow cycle.

They have a wide array of scents to choose from but "neutral" is very popular but my favorite is "Ocean" is my personal favorite. The good folks at Vaportek will, upon request, send you a sampler pack of scents to choose from FREE OF CHARGE!

Here's a closeup of the back panel which shows the technical specifications of the Vaportek Optimum 4000. As you can see it draws very little power and will reduce your overall power consumption by eliminating the extractor fans and carbon filters.

And for those too lazy to check out the website, here's a close-up of the phone number in the U.S.

For those growers out there thinking of reevaluating their odor control issues, the Vaportek Optimum 4000 provides a solid, inexpensive answer to keep those odors in check and the growroom smelling fresh and clean!
