      Default My Fight for Med MJ laws in NY State

      Hello all.. I wrote my Senator a few emails regarding medical mj. Here is her reply;

      Dear Mr. Hammer,

      Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding Senate bill S.5040 which would provide for regulated use of cannabis for certified medical purposes pursuant to a doctor's prescription. I appreciate hearing from you about this important matter.

      There has been much medical evidence to prove how effective medical marijuana is in the treating of side effects and pain of certain serious diseases and conditions; however, it is still a hotly debated topic. This bill has currently been referred to the Health Committee, and should this legislation come before the Senate for a vote, I will be sure to keep thoughts in mind.

      Once again, thank you for sharing your thouhgts with me. It is trhe input of New York's citzens that hels effect change every day. Please accept my best wishes and do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

      Sincerely,

      Catharine M. Young
      Member of Senate

      (well its a start.. I'm gonna continue to let my voice be heard.. maybe I should find out who makes up the Health Committee,.. hehe)

      Peace all
