      Post Best Scrog setup

For a simple scrog that will give you mad quantities of herb...follow this picture. Two 2x3 feet screens are used per plant, with the plant growing in at least a 10 gallon container. Use a 1000 watt hps and lower it over the 3x4 scrog screens to get better intensity than the standard 5x5 that a 1000 covers (this is what makes this setup work)

Tie your screen down in the middle so that the plant cannot push it up during growth. Veg the plants enough to fill up the screen to about 60 percent (EDIT: I have since decided that 75% or more will give you better yeilds, and of course this all depends on the strain as some dont stretch to meet your needs and some will stretch more than you want. clipping the growth shoot right after an alternating node will make the branch slow down and not split into two heads which is important), then start flowering. During the vegetative state, start clipping off bud shoots that are competing with a dominate shoot in one square...after all you only want 1 budsite per hole. Clip off any fan leaves that are shading a budsite, and after about 2 weeks of flowering you can clip off all of the fan leaves that are in the way of a bud, but not including leaves coming out of a bud. Make sure that all plant material under the screen is removed so you can increase air flow under the canopy. It wont get light anyway so cut it off.

The person that introduced me to this method reported pulling just over 2 pounds a few times, and just under 2 pounds most of the time. I modeled my cabinet scrog after this model, except the whole thing that makes it happen is the 1000w hps being lowered LOWER to cover the 3x4 instead of higher to cover the 5x5. Light diminishes quickly over distances, so intensity is maxed when you run the two 2x3 screens pushed together.Anything else you have questions about, just ask on this thread, and we'll get the best scrog info thread going.
