it is from the international association for cannabis medicine. hey folks, The International Association for Cannabis Medicine is still taking your responses to a survey that asks you to identify the different modes of delivery (smoked, vaporized, tincture, medible, etc) This survey ends Jan 31, 2010 so please click on the link below and tell them what you think..... http://www.cannabis-med.org/limesurv...=91387&lang=en Who can participate? All patients who use or have used in the past cannabis based medicines and have experience with two or more of the following modes of delivery/substances: •smoking of cannabis •inhalation of cannabis with a vaporizer •oral use of cannabis as a tea •oral use of cannabis in baked goods/cannabis tincture •oral use of dronabinol/Marinol (THC) •oral use of nabilone/Cesamet •inhalation of dronabinol (THC) with a vaporizer •sprays using Sativex •other use Instruction for completion of the questionnaire: Please mark with a cross in the box in front of the correct answer. If several answers are correct, then mark all. Please also answer to the questions in case you stopped using cannabis products for medicinal purposes in the past. Aim of the study: This survey is intended to ascertain how patients perceive possible advantages and disadvantages of different delivery methods and which methods or products they prefer. The study should also answer questions of perceived advantages and preferences based on demographic factors (gender, age and country), previous experience with recreational cannabis, diseases or symptoms, and involvement of a physician in the use of cannabinoids. Time of the study: Participation in the survey is possible from 15 August 2009 to 30 November 2009. It is intended to publish the results in a scientific journal. Major results will be presented on the IACM website. Lead researcher Dr. Kirsten Müller-Vahl, Professor at the Medical School of Hannover, Germany (Chairwoman of the IACM) In cooperation with Dr. Arno Hazekamp, University of Leiden, The Netherlands Dr. Donald Abrams, Professor at the University of California San Francisco, USA Dr. Ethan Russo, Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Montana, USA Dr. Franjo Grotenhermen, nova-Institut, Germany Dr. Mark Ware, assistant Professor at the McGill University, Montreal, Canada Dr. Ricardo Navarrete-Varo, Malaga, Spain Dr. Rudolf Brenneisen, Professor at the University of Bern, Switzerland The survey has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the Medical School of Hannover, Germany. Participants in the survey remain anonymous. The data from responses will be automatically collected in a database. These data do not allow the identification of participants.
