[Smoke Report] Gooey's (purple empress x papaya x purple power)

I asked in the forum several years ago if anyone knew of any great strains with good vigor, yield and lots of color. Guess what?? Gooey to the rescue!! Not only did he have recommendations, he had free seeds for me!! w00t!

I made him a promise that I would post a smoke report when I grew them out....well, I just finished about 3-4 weeks ago, and now all the bud is gone

I finally managed to recover some of the pics I took of her from my SD card (long story) so I wanted to keep my word and post what I was able to recover with my smoke report.

so, here it goes:

strain:
gooey's purple empress x papaya x purple power

indica/sativa:
mostly sativa (about 65-70%)

flowering time:
9 weeks for 70% amber trichs

male/female ratio:
2 seeds, one male, one female (50%)

growing style:
DWC (elementary system with an air pump, no water pump, 20 gallon reservoir 4-sites) bush-style no training/cutting/tying

lighting:
600w lumatek with a cool tube plus 4x 70w cfl's

space:
3x3x8 feet

nutrients:
humboldt nutrients base 3-pack, dutch master zone, superthrive

veg time:
6 weeks

stretch:
almost NONE...no joke, she was 20" on flowering day 1 and she finished week 9 at 24"

odor:
minimal...ONA gel took care of it just fine

total yield:
2oz, 9g from only one plant

additional comments:
very easy to grow strain, can take a lot of abuse, big eater!!! heavy nutes will do no harm!! lower the temp to induce deeper purples later in bud (weeks 6 and later)

this is about 3-4 weeks into flowering...I don't know exactly

bag appeal:
nice...not perfect, but who cares, right?

flavor:
this was really hard to pinpoint. Some people said diesel, some said coffee, some said wild berries. I tasted all 3

type of high:
mostly heady, some body AT FIRST. Give it an hour...you will be passed out where you sit!! The head high lasts all the way through, but the body high doesn't start for a while. Then it hist you like a brick wall....before you know it you're waking up in a puddle of drool 4 hours later wondering how you got here lol one of the strongest, most pleasant highs I've experienced!!

medical value:
I suffer from spastic back pain and anxiety.

I threw my back out while I had a stash left and the pain melted away.

...anxiety?? what anxiety?? I was cool as a cucumber after medicating.

best smoking method:
vaporizer. you'll taste flavor undertones you never thought were possible from weed lol

other notes:
I took one clone just in case I liked her. I kept the clone very small in a 2 cup soil pot so she would stay stunted until I was ready for her. I liked the strain so much I kept the clone for a mom and I'm filling my dwc system with her this run...4/4 sites will have purple empress.

clones are best with this strain. the mom was a nice plant...but the clones BLOW HER AWAY!!!! The mom took about 3-4 weeks before she showed any real growth during the seedling/early veg stage. I was worried she wouldn't grow at all. Finally she started growing more, and I was satisfied with her branching. I put the clones in my dwc system, and within 2 days new roots were starting, she had almost doubled in size, and she was BY FAR the bushiest plant I've ever seen in my life.....not to mention the root system on her!!! OMG, I've never seen so many roots grow so fast!! clones were rooted and ready to send into 12/12 within 10 days for a sea of green, 3 weeks for bush-style.

GOOEY, PLEASE RELEASE THIS STRAIN!!!! THE WORLD MUST KNOW THE AMAZING AWESOMENESS THAT IS PURPLE EMPRESS!!!

my new favorite strain of all time (sorry, subcool, if you're reading this...vortex just got beat...but I still have a special place for it in my heart!)
