This will be my thread for my current grow that I decided to start on Christmas Eve. I decided that I wanted to kick the new year off with a nice variety of strains that I've never tried/grown before. I began germinating the following seeds on 12/20:
TGA/Subcool Genetics: Space Queen-3 Queen Anne's Revenge-1 Ozzy-2 DNA Genetics: Martian Mean Green-1 Motarebel Genetics: Berry Bud-4 HighGrade Seeds Genetics: Black Pearl-2 HGS Super Mix-2 All beans are in Boss CoCo Grow 6" grow blocks. Once they are ready for transplant I will put them in my own custom soil mix, which is a combination of Moonshine Man's soil recipe along with Subcool's and the Rev's plus my own additions. I have it designed so that all is required is a balanced pH the entire grow cycle, from start to finish. The medium provides ALL nutrients throughout the plants life. However, with the addition of nutes/ferts, yields are only improved, as well as quality and taste. My plant's ecosystem is the most important thing, so I give it everything that is required, plus much, much more. I'll post my exact soil recipe/mix later on when I transplant. As of last night, QAR has broken through the soil and is officially into the seedling stage, it's about 1.8" tall already, moving along very quickly. Not too far behind is the 2 Ozzy's growing very uniformally, both have popped through the soil, still with the seed pods attached, they haven't fully sprouted yet like the QAR. Upon planting the rest of the beans, 2 out of 4 BB from Motarebel had taps formed, but have yet to penetrate the soil. The same goes for the SQ (2/3 have taproots). I lost a Black Pearl that had a huge, long taproot--very upset, must have dropped it somewhere, probably stepped on it, lol. Oh well. So I had to germinate 1 more. the other BP has taproot, hasn't broken through soil yet. The only two that I'm worried about is the HGS Super Mix, which has shown no sign of germinating yet, neither has the MMG from DNA. Maybe in a few more days.. As of now, that's about it. I will update in about a week with pics as there isn't really much to photograph presently. Stay posted and please feel free to give me input. Amy
