I won these beans from the competition a few months ago, and decided to grow a few out this year. 4 plants are vegging, right now they're all 2 foot tall, working on training them into bushes. 2 look more sativa influenced wider node spacing, and other 2 look more compact and indy influenced.
Anyways I realized I know absolutely nothing about the strain but the name, I believe gooey breeder made the seeds and the berry part might be from Zinn, but i'm not certain.

Can anyone tell me some strain information on *Pineapple Berry* or point me in the direction of a grow thread? I would really like to know what to expect with this strain. Thanks for any help, I appreciate. Oh yeah i'm growing BCO' RPK, Sonic's PQH, and Gooey's Zinn x Berry Mania, so far looks like a promising year.

most younger breeders would rather breed names or reps than target a improvement.
So, instead I think we should do some market adjusting, helping folks see the advantages of new and exciting again and why it matters not just to the public, but to the breeder as well.
Everybody wants the "best". Subjective indeed, so we don't worry so much about that generic at this point.
What i'm asking new breeders to start thinking about is "niche" breeding. What's this?
Small niche breeding is really big picture breeding done right.
We all see folks coming up with a great plant out of a pack more often now than before, so I do see things improving, but in some ways it's in the wrong direction, taking a fork in the breeding road that they may not have intended or noticed going down. Easy to do with such a disoriented and unknown and lied about gene pool.
Getting back on track is a two fold equation with breeders doing more single trait improvement and the public demanding a wider range of choices....and breeders meeting that goal by using that method. It takes time and numbers, but the long term pay off is huge and long lasting.
Breeders need to know whats dom in a line. Period. Do your homework and find multiple grows for as much good info as one can find or grow themseleves. Breeders need to know whats in a gene set hey are working in. Period. Do your homework and find multiple grows for as much good info as one can find . Breeders need to learn to strain read and be able to understand what the projected outcome will be in a given planned cross and the select only for that one trait. This means knowing your stock inside out. Keep only the most pronounced example of that one trait.
Learn the value of BX-ing to be able to set traits between parents ending cubing when all dom traits are expressed.
Shortcuts short change.

Lake Effect Snow (Crater Lake!)

Been real excited waiting for this one... Did ya' ever KNOW you were gonna like a strain before you actually sample it? This particular Crater Lake just caught my eye from veg right through flower. It went through quite the metamorphisis smell wise before it settled on a strong almost fumey stink with an overpowering though indescribable fruity stink...Strong Melon? Berries? I'll try to elaborate on the smell bouquet later. The growth pattern is what I call perfect. Needed very little to no training and grew with perfect spacing to allow for light penetration. (and density) The crystal is glimmering sheets of Trichomular Prisms. (Shiny!)
The coup' de gras is she is EASY EASY trim. I have quit running strains due to extreme manicure difficulty. I simply don't have the time or patience to prune for hours on end. Even the smallest buds were dense enough to warrant the time to trim them. Yum.

Dynasty's Beautiful "Crater Lake" I am dying to try this!!!

Here are some shots of them...a few days over a month in.

Dream lotus smells of berries and candy, sativa pheno and not a big stretcher...needs a good amount of trimming before and 2 weeks into flower...It caught me off guard haha...recommended for sog...amazing in heat....medium feeder

Crater lake smells of menthol and citrus like in the description. Not a big yielder but looks like very dense and potent nugs and very resinous...mine didn't like to be topped...when I did only one would branch off while the other one remained small...better to LST this pheno...best to chop off all the inner sights since I couldn't get them to grow out...This one seems to have what I call dominant stems in which it only wants to focus on those few stems major stems for growth...grows the slowest out of the bunch...does amazing in heat...normal feeder

The goji og smells like mocha coffee and earth..had a really light strawberry smell early in flower but now it's gone....I love this one for vertical...does great...and excellent growth...very fast root system....not so good in heat and moderate feeder

Anyone know if bodhi is the breeder of the original blue dream? I'd been puffin on GSC for a while and went back to the blue dream this week and I'm loving it. Such good weed. I'd honestly kinda ignored my blue dream cut for awhile because its so saturated around here with it but now I'm wanting a good cut to run for my head. Who's had luck with dream lotus? Why were seeds of blue dream released? Was that cut on lockdown when it originally came out?

Howdy friends! I got my girls in the ground on 5/18, three days later than last year. There is good news already. My holes I use were perfect. They were not full of water, but lots of sweet smelling, organic soil, with plenty of worms and nightcrawlers. WOOT! As usual, I am going full organic. I prepped all the spots with rabbit poo, coffee grounds, leaves and compost over the winter. I loosened up the holes and added Azomite and a couple handfuls of Bio-Live fert, from Down To Earth. It is good stuff with humic and mycos.
Now, the line-up. PEX performed so well last year, she gets two spots. My fave Drizella pheno, B also gets two spots. I made a cross with my Pink Mama and Drizella and she gets a spot. Gooey's PExPxPP gets one, Ohso's Cantaloupe Skunk gets one, Truck's Crystal Throttle gets one, Irish' Chem D x BD gets one, Vic High/TGA's Scarlet Queen x Danny Boy gets one. My own creation of SLH and Black Dahlia phenos 2 and 4 each get a spot. #4 is in a BIG smart pot, as I ran out of holes and I love experiments. She is my fave LBH pheno, leaning heavy on the SLH side with strong lemony goodness, plus a knockout punch with good pain relief qualities to her. I may train the top along my support like a vine. I expect her to get quite tall.
I am excited about this group performing well for me:trimparty:

PEX
PExPxPP
SQxDB
LBH2
LBH4
Chem D x BD
Drizella, pheno B
Driz x Pink Mama V #1
Cantaloupe Skunk #5 (green pheno)
Crystal Throttle #1 (donkey dick, tall pheno) f2 made by swampthing

Expect lots of fine pics of these babes, along the way. Any guesses which one will be the star of the group and which will be the biggest?
My guess is it will be close between Crystal Throttle and LBH4 for frostiness. SQxDB will challenge Drizella for the biggest plant. PEX gave me a k last year and may repeat as the biggest yielder. We shall see. GREEN MOJO for all my fellow OD growers this year. May we all be blessed with great flowers come October. Stay safe everyone. Pics in a week of the starts.

Cannalope Haze (DNA)

Hi everybody :)

Long time i haven't been active here... i hope everyone is ok...

Here is a quick review about the Cannalope Haze.
I wanted to grow this strain again, after a first try years before; which has left me a great souvenir.
I remembered two females from it in particular: one with an awesome bag appeal, lot's of resin, stinky, but poor effect, and an other one with great looking buds too, denser, lime green, very hazy / spicy, probably with one of the best effect i ever encoutered.
I love sativas, wich is the reason i remember this buzz; it was electrical, VERY VERY speepy and energizing, with absolutly no ceiling.
The taste, smoking those two plants (when mixing them in my joints), was the best taste i found anywhere; hazy, fruity, and incredibly sweet. I was litterally eating this smoke...

So... I had big expectations starting this second run of the Cannalope Haze.
Here it is !

This is a Hydro grow, with a NFT GroTank 250, under a HPS 400W during flowering.
I used the old release of GHE two parts nutrients, with AN Hamerhead added during flo.
The surface of the box is 1m x 1m, 2m high.

Cracked 6 seeds:

2 Cannalope Haze (DNA)
1 Iron Cindy (KOS)
3 Chem Glue (HOF)

Both Cannalope were females, others were males.

Here there are, just before the 12/12 flip, almost two months old.
You can see how clear green the leaves are, especially comparing to the Chem Glue just under.

I can't remember if my Lime helps RAISE or LOWER Ph? Silly huh? I add this to all soil mixes but I can't remember if i am raising or lowering with the Lime? I have to Acidfy some soil for my Blueberries I cant recall which way the Lime ammends the soil? Also, I know about Coffee grounds but what other natural ammendments add ACID? Peat Moss is good too... Suggestions people?:detective:

How about diggin' up soil from the base of Mature conifers such as Pine and Cedar? I think the soil in Pine forrests is acidic?

My rant for the day

I've finally had it with all these people touting different og this and that.

If you don't know the history of the cut your using dont talk about it like you do because when you get caught using sales tactics it makes people lose respect for your product.

A few things. Og is an s1 of chem91 for those that did not know.

It showed up in 1996.

Lets add some years to that.

Flash forward 17 years and here we are.

Anyone claiming to have held a cut of og for over 17 years is full of themselves.

I won't get into lineage of it because truly no one really knows past chem 91 s1.

Og was never called og KUSH until some weenie back in the mid 90s was running a Hollywood pure kush and had a hard time tellin the difference so they decided to tack the kush moniker on it.

I saw it happen as I grew up. First hand anecdotal experience.

Some of the things I've seen since this sites auction site has been down have made me sick.

I can't buy beans anymore because everyone so full of shit that its pouring out their ears and eyes.

Some of our breeders here have even gone off the deep end in the snake oil descriptions pool and its really saddened my heart.

Pistils thanks for the standards you upheld here man I personally really appreciate it.

Nothing burns me more than seeing respectable breeders turning to snake oil sales tactics when they don't have to follow guidelines like we have here for releases.

If this offended anyone sorry but I don't see how it couldn't offend you as much as it offends me to see some of the lies muck and filth that's thrown around today in descriptions of what your buying and what genetics it has.

I mean really. Do you think I'm going to buy something that claims to use a cut that's been around for longer than it has even existed?

So frustrating.

Why can't people treat cannabis with respect and customers with respect.

Its insulting to alot of our intelligence who happen to know our history on certain strains and lines.

Bah

/off soap box.

Dab time guess I'm not buyin seeds again for a while.

P best of luck gettin this place back up and running full bore again man.

I personally cannot wait. I need someplace with standards to purchase from.

*Strain Evaluation - Grow Report*
*Strain?* (Chem D x SSH) by Beanhoarder
*Age at Veg start?* 3 wks in 20oz cups after germination, before transplanting into 1-gal poly bags for veg
*Grow Method?* organics in soil, indoors, supplemented with CO2
*Grow Media?* custom organic soil mix
*Starting Veg Pot Size?* 1-gallon, then 3-gallon for the last 2+ weeks before flower for final container
*Water pH?* RO water, neutral
*Grow Feed(s) Used?* Base nutes: Iguana Juice Grow and Bloom. Supplements: hygrozyme, compost teas, molasses, humic acid, pyrophilic clay, Eqilibrium by Humboldt Nutes (CaMg+ organic w/ other suplements[1-1-2]), GH's Pyrosol (silicon & trace elements),.. not always
*Grow Feed PH* Usually dont pH, it always is around 6 when tested, after adding nutes.
*Initial Veg Feed Strength* 2ml hygrozyme, 1ml G.O. BioRoot, 2ml Iguana grow/gal
*Final Veg Feed Strength* 2 ml hygrozyme, 1-2 ml humic acid, 1 tsp molasses, 3-4ml Iguana Juice
*Grow Wattage?* Veg'd under T8 flouro's and CFL's untile last 2 wks, then brought under the HIDs for last 2 wks, as flowering room was empty. Total 1400W, 2 x 400W MH on each side of 600W HPS in middle
*Growth Area m3?* about 7' x 10', maybe slightly bigger, about 2/3 of the room
*# of plants* 25-30? Just 1 (Chem D x SSH)
*Day Preflower Start?* around 1.5 mnths, 2mnths max.
*Sexual Expression Days?* I dont have and dont think I took notes of this, and there was only 1 female as I only popped 3 beans and had 2 plants. Sorry.
*# Of Males?* 1 (2/3 germed)
*# Of Females* 1
*Transplant Day>?* Around 2.5 mnths from seedling
*Final Veg Pot Size?* 1 gallon up until the last 2 weeks it was in a 3-gallon, its final pot to be flowered in.
*Adverse Conditions?*
* UndesirableTemperature

*Adverse Conditions Details?* It got up to like 85F a couple times, but with CO2, wasn't as big of a concern.
*Total Days Veg?* 2.5-3 months
*Extra Info?* First of all, this strain was created by Beanhoarder and without the amazing work done, I wouldn't have these genetics, and wouldn't be able to share the grow without him making these beans in the first place. Also, thank you to the generous soul that gifted me these. Without you guys, this wouldn't be possible.

This was a great strain all around. I was gifted these by a good and generous friend, and got a gem out of the 3 beans I had. I love it when that happens.
I ended up getting a VERY Chem D dominant pheno, with almost no SSH traits at all. Its taste and smell is very Chem D like, that nice fruity sweet chem, and not hazey, lemony, or anything like SSH at all. Its definitely indica dominant, but stilla great all-ocassion smoke. No up high like a haze gives though. The SSH maybe slightly influenced the bud stucture, maybe, and might have changed the high a little but I dont know, I've never had strait Chem D, but its sure nothing like any SSH I've had or description I've ever read. It smells a lot like my keeper pheno of Elite's Ultimate Chemdawg D '08 F1s. Delicious Chem D dominated this cross by a longshot

_Sativa/Indica ratio:_ 40/60 - 35/65

_Pungency:_ 7.8/10
_Smells & Flavors:_ Pungent Fruity, Chemmy, no diesely taste or smell really though, sweet, sour, fruity with undertones of hash and sugar and more fruits.
Smells exactly like it tastes.

_Flowering time:_ 9-10 weeks, I took it to about 9.5

_Stretch:_ .25 -.5 / %25-50, I didn't measure, I will this run. No more than half its original height did it gain .

_Keeper?:_ Yes, most definitely.

_Potency:_ 7.7/10
----------
Well, thats is for the actual reporting part of the report, I think its time for some pics.
This report is long overdue, It flowering was initiated at the very end of October '12 / beginning of November '12, and finished in mid January this year. All the buds are long gone. Im just glad I took dry shots of the best buds I had left when I still had some. Didn't have a whole lot after splitting it with my ex-partner that stole some off the top and also stole out of my jars when I wasn't home. Glad thats all said and done. Much better on my own anyway, and will grow better buds too, how I want to. True organics. I digress...

Here is a topview of the plant on 10-2-12, about 3.5 weeks before flowering.
