Well as the title says this will be my first attempt at hydro. I guess it would be considered a rdwc. I have gone with a 5 gallon reivior and 2-5 gallon buckets with 6"net pots. I am using a Maxijet 1200 pump to do the recirculating. I used 1"tub oulet fittings and tubing to connect the buckets. I used a 1/2" ebb&flow fitting and 1/2" tubing for the outlet on the last bucket which goes to the pump and back to the resivior. Imusing H&G Aqua Flakes and Botanicaire AquaShield. EC is at .58, ph at 5.6. I am running a Dinafem White Siberian and Super Silver. I started the clones in 3" cocotek baskets filled with coco. I layered the bottom of the net baskets with hydroton,inserted the clone and filled in around it with hydroton. I am using cfl's at the moment to keep temps down.

Here is a diagram of the system. With the exception of going with 2 bucketsinstead of 3.
