It's Getting Close! . . . YEAR END CONTESTS!

Well, it's hard to believe the holidays are right around the corner, another year is waining and the YEAR END CONTESTS are getting nearer! Breedbay just turned 2 Years Old this month and we just surpassed the 4,000 member mark this past weekend! How things have grown and, yes, some things have changed in the last year. Thankfully, MOSTLY for the best.

While we lost a great breeder in Lonestar and the Texas Resin Company to the long arm of LEO, we did gain the good ol' boys from DNA with their Cup-winning gear being featured through Bidzbay/Cannasuer. We also picked up Breeder's Choice Seed Company and HothouseFlowers who brought some fresh landrace genetics to our fair ranks.

The stable of breeders continued to grow with the additions of: Growdoc Seeds, Kiwi Seeds and Delta 9 Labs. It's been a banner year for Breedbay! Last but certainly not least (don't worry, P . . . I didn't forget my bro!), the emergance of Dank Dairy Seeds headed by none other than our fearless leader, Pistils! Some great dank has been had from these fine purveyors of ganja, not the least of which was the always stellar offerings from our very own Subcool and Team Green Avenger. Well done one and all!

Now comes that fun time of year that I know many of us have been looking forward to since last year's festivities. (Drum roll please!)

Breedbay's
YEAR END CONTESTS!!

Once again, we've had a tremendous amount of fantastic threads that are now a part of the huge grow resource that Breedbay has become. You guys have done an AWESOME job all year long and you should all be proud as hell! Having said that, as always, there are those contributions that go ABOVE AND BEYOND in their content, detail, humor and creativity. These are the threads that deserve recognition through contests such as this.

All threads will be nominated by fellow Breedbay members for the competition. The threads may be nominated into the appropriate category. The catagories for the competition are:

• Grow Thread of the Year
• Best "How To" Thread of the Year
• Best Canna-Recipe of the Year

Once again, Breedbay's most prestigious award will be given by Pistils to that single member whose contributions to the community (either online and/or in their community) are so significant and the spirit in which they give to the community best exemplifies what the loving karma of the cannabis community is (or should be) all about.

This award was created in the sincere hope and desire of Breedbay Admin and staff that this highly coveted award will encourage EVERYONE in the cannabis community to strive to be worthy of such a title year in and year out. Hopefully, this annual award will inspire people in the community to stop down throughout the year to be helpful to that "newbie" that asks all the questions or that meduser that is trying to learn to grow their own meds. It's what the cannabis community should be about and there should be an award for those who lead by example and best exemplify the spirit of the cannabis communuity. This award is the acknowledgement of that exceptional excellence!

Our last year's winner of this award, Tob, has worn the crown with dignity and elegance and has once again been there for so many throughout this year. As an inaugural winner, no one could have held the honor with more distinction. Much love and respect, ToB, m'lady! This year's winner should feel honored to follow in her footsteps.

I just wanted to give a quick reminder to our older members and an announcement for our new members who have joined us recently. The YEAR END CONTESTS are highly anticipated and the prizes are ALWAYS outstanding as Pistils ALWAYS delivers in that department! We still have a couple of months, so get busy as you still have time to get those contest-worthy threads up and posting. Believe me, you don't want to miss out on this one. We'll accept threads all the way up until December 31st. Then, nominations will begin.
